A brand-new update for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is now available to download. Version 1.1.0, which must be applied prior to using the game’s online multiplayer features, adds the highly-anticipated Tourney modes. The update also implements functionality to post replays to YouTube and new downloadable content that can be purchased, including new stages and costumes. A full list of what the update brings can be read below:
- Users will be able to purchase newly added downloadable content.
- Added Community and Regular Tournament Modes.
Users can create custom rules and duration of Community Tournaments.
Users can also advertise their tournaments in the Tourney Community in Miiverse. - Added functionality to post replays to YouTube.
Replays can be viewed on YouTube and the Replay Viewing Community in Miiverse.
*Users can only post their own content.
*A Google account is required in order to use this feature. Please click here for information on how to create a Google account. (This will direct you to an external site) - Adjustments have also been made for a more pleasant gaming experience.

Well everyone upset with no voice chat have a viable reason to be upset. There is no real good excuse for not including voice chat as you can easily use parental controls to keep kids from using it if you are concerned with them coming across the wrong people (not that they can’t just as easily come across the wrong people outside of video games so it’s pointless in the end unless you want to be an even bigger psycho & shut your child off from the rest of the world like some overprotective lunatic.) The people defending Nintendo’s decision on this because they don’t care for voice chat are a hell of a lot more selfish than the people attacking Nintendo because they got what they wanted: no voice chat to deal with. I honestly love all the costumes for the Mii’s the only thing I wish we could get is being able to use your personalized Mii in online, ranked and whatever matches. It would be the ultimate awesome for me. A stoner with a pirate hat running a muk!

Wii had though best selection of on rails/light gun shooters it was great system for those kinda games, but generally speaking i agree, Nintendo system aint full Nintendo system without Star Fox and F-ZERO, hopefully NX will have full roster like N64 and GC, not just Mario/Zelda.

i just wish that STAR FOX ZERO will have online multiplayer and high score leader boards, somehow i understand they didn’t include those on SF64 3D, but new instalment like SFZERO should have those, even Sin&Punishment had leader boards. Its been long wait after SF64 to get proper SF game again and it pains fan like me how Nintendo cannot get those aspects done for the new version and ppl are already mad about small thing like graphics (not a big deal to me since GC level graphics are minimum i expect from games, but they should improve them though)
and its kinda bothersome to think that games like F-ZERO, METROID and STAR FOX recently need to be made alongside 3rd party devs which in case of F-ZERO and STAR FOX prevents them to get proper Nintendo 1st party love like Mario&ZELDA. Although choosing PLATINUM to help development was a good choice.
Some custom moves like heavy skull bash are way too overpowered and literally require no skill that’s why people don’t want them.

There were more unlockable characters on the 3DS. They had more characters unlocked from the get go on the Wii U so people could jump into the game with characters they were familiar with. I never really cared for subspace other than for the cutscenes and to unlock characters easier. Love it or hate it, this is the new Smash Brothers and it is not going anywhere.
But what about those that really enjoyed unlocking lots of characters, like in the old ones. Why can’t anyone tolerate unlocking shit anymore. It’s really fun!

Online for Smash 4 might be better than the online for Smash 3 but only slightly. People still have horrible lag problems online sometimes. Just because you haven’t had them doesn’t mean online is perfect.

Now in a week we get to complain about how they messed up private lobbys in Splatoon. Nitntendo doesn’t know wha they are doing when it comes to this kind of stuff andthey are very slow learners. Tourney mode should be regular tournaments made by users just like the Nintendo hosted ones. If you stuck to that maybe we could have had this mode 3 months ago (done right)
