Visit YouTube now to watch a Super Mario Maker overview video created by Nintendo of America that summarises key game features ahead of its launch across Europe on the 11th of September. New announcements highlighted in the video include:
- New sound effects and music block customisation – You can create your own sound effects in Super Mario Maker, with some sounds even generating fun visuals! And by shaking a classic Note Block during level creation, it becomes a Music Block. When something activates one of these Music Blocks, it will play a note based on its height, allowing players to arrange songs of all types.
- Ease into creation – Start creating with a set number of tools to help you learn, then watch the number of tools at your disposal expand more and more every day you play!
- Compatible with more than 50 amiibo – Many amiibo are compatible with Super Mario Maker, including classic figures like Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby. With the special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo, you can take on mustachioed enemies in levels using Big Mario!

Yo sickr bruh. That ain’t the video I sent you.
Huh? Looks like the same one to me! Just checked :)
Nvm it went the wrong video. Mobile problems.
Shut up Ass Bitch you’re wrong yet again.
Nintendo should make money on Super Mario Maker like they do on amiibos!
They could make a Super Mario Maker 2.0 that includes Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Land, New Super Mario Bros. (DS), and New Super Luigi U.
Then Nintendo could make a Super Mario Maker 3.0 that includes Super Mario Bros. 2 USA, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Then Nintendo could make a Super Mario Maker 4.0 that includes Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and New Super Mario Bros. 2.
Then Nintendo could make a Super Mario Maker 3D that includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario 3D Land.
Then Nintendo could make a Super Mario Maker 3D 2.0 that includes Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Super Mario 3D World.
After Nintendo makes so much money off all these games, then we will finally get a new Metroid in the year 2025, a new F-Zero game in 2026, a new Zelda in the year 2027, and finally an actual Kirby game in the year 2028. By this time, I would not be surprised if Nintendo goes bankrupt or if they are so successful with the Super Mario Maker series that they will make a Super Mario Maker 5.0 and a Super Mario Maker 3D 3.0
What about a new Sin and Punishment installment? And the next Golden Sun?
2050 maybe?
Nintendo will sure make those after they cash in on Mario for the next 10+ years . . . if they can make it that long on Mario alone.
Well there were 7 years between Golden Sun 2 and 3, so I’m still holding out hope we’ll get one within the next few years.
XD well this made me laugh so have my like.
Ill say SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY, or other troll/memes! Teehee
The fun factor in this game just keeps growing. Sept. 11, can not get here soon enough, this is a must have from day one, will put a ton of play time with this game.
It’s pretty lame that you have to use the luigi amiibo to play as him.
Wasn’t there news at some point that said that you can unlock the Amiibo character things through the 100 Mario Challange? So that you don’t need to spend 99x the cost of an Amiibo to get everything in the game.

And that is just for starters…..
Can’t wait to add ‘special sound effects’ “oh mario, entering my castle? bowser told you not to go in there” followed by moaning noises ;-p
So this means that, outside of Smash bros, this is the first game with playable Ness in 20 years.
Read it as “New Super Mario Maker”. I was worried for a second.

I’m going to pre-load the game onto my Wii U from Nintendo eShop. :)
This says a lot because I didn’t like the New Super Mario Bros. series as I just felt like they didn’t truly take advantage of their respective platforms like the old SMB games did on the NES or Super Mario World did for the SNES for all of their respective platforms.
Super Mario Maker changes that for the Wii U now. It’s a return to that same style of 2D Mario games that we had back on the NES and SNES that truly took advantage of everything the systems had to offer. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game. :D
