  1. I really hated the Game Gear, but this is pretty cool nonetheless. But saying I “HATED” the Game Gear isn’t really fair, since I only have like 2 or 3 games for it. I hated the battery consumption, and the screen hurt my eyes. I remember wanting the TV Tuner SOOOOO freakin’ bad. But I never got it.

  2. I’m still mad my cousin broke mine because we were fighting with each other about who would play.

Innovative product for its time. But that bright battery indicator light in front sure didn’t help.

    1. They actually change sound effects for selecting items and even the background music too. I got the Mario theme and Mario jumps (with noise) when I scroll, a coin noise is heard every time I open it, it makes a block noise when I pick an app, and it plays the super Mario theme all the time. I was really surprised by this and thought it was just a skin thing.

If done right, themes do more than just change the design of the console/handheld’s main menu. I wish they’d update the Wii U with this feature.

Nothing I’m aware of. Just the background, the boxes for apps/games, the boxes for folders, and the sounds for moving the cursor, starting up an app/game, & closing an app/game.

        1. Oh! It changes the skins of your apps as well, mine turning them into hit blocks from the Mario games. I can’t remember which one it is, but I believe one Zelda skin plays the song of storms.
