Final Fantasy XV Director Would Love To Work On A Zelda Game

Japanese publication Dengeki PlayStation recently spoke to a number of developers to find out which video game franchises they would love to work on if they were ever given the chance. Interestingly, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said that The Legend of Zelda franchise is something he would love to be able to work on. It will most likely never ever happen, but it would certainly be interesting to see Square Enix’s vision for the franchise using their state of the art graphics engine.

“The Legend of Zelda series. I’m not quite sure why myself, but a Zelda game made with the technology and know-how of Final Fantasy XV is the game I wish to create as of this moment.”

Definatly something like that would be amazing !! let it happen Nintendo a title like that would sell like hot cakes

    1. Would you shut the fuck up you little role playing bitch. If they were to use the technology for FFXV and the creative force from Nintendo to build a Zelda game that would be one of the greatest things ever. Don’t just say no because you can’t wrap your dull mind around the fact that a seperate company would have to work with Nintendo for it.

        >>>Your pathetic attempt to insult made the rest of your argument invalid by default human>>>

I agree with you Rafmnadx being just a Nintendo rep I can’t do anything but a Zelda title made by square would be fucking beyond words amazing !

          1. Dear lord no. Square, all you “technology and know-how” has done for the past decade is dilute the quality of your game design and privilege your mediocre narrative and character writing and pretty visuals. Please, keep such things well away from the Zelda franchise.

Imagine Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask combined into One huge adventure but with Square Enix’s tech and they add the lost dungeons cut from the original ocarina of time then it would be the ultimate adventure plus Square could didtch the cartoon look and make link look realistic i’d be all on board for that

The Legend Of Zelda Legacy of Time and Darkness

                  1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

That doesn’t count since Nintendo 100% owned Monolith Soft at that point if I recall correctly.

                1. LOL! Can’t wait for Boyband Emo Link, sloppy turn-based combat, unnecessary cutscenes, boring story and WAIT 10 YEARS FOR A GAME!

                2. Ugh no! Zelda will get there on its own with the inevitable NX game, in the mean time we don’t need it contaminated by what this hack thinks is “know-how”, which, so far, has only meant bad writing, shit pacing and ugly characters for his own games.
If Nintendo needs the help of RPG makers for the next Zelda they can turn to their very own GameFreak, Intelligent Systems, AlphaDream or MonolithSoft (You know, the studio made up of people who gave Square Enix the reputation that this hack is now using to try to hijack Zelda).

                3. Can we start a petition for this to get the buzz going around?
If they outsource Zelda on NX we can get more Zelda games. They also wanted more third party deals.

                4. I wouldn’t mind seeing what would come out of it. As long as it’s not considered a main line Zelda game. As long as it doesn’t disturb the main line Zelda series. Then sure, I wouldn’t mind a Zelda rpg, turn based battle style game. Would be pretty interesting actually.

Let’s see what they do with a Zelda spin off first. If it does well AND respects the franchise, then by all means, let them work on a mainline game. Til then, fuck off!
