Nintendo Reveals Tri Force Heroes’ Placement In The Official Zelda Timeline

Nintendo of America has taken to Twitter to answer fan questions about the newest game starring everyone’s favorite green-garbed hero. Last week, the company provided a list of questions about The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes and asked fans to vote for which five they wanted answered.

The votes must be in, as Nintendo has responded to the first question: “Where does the game fall in the series timeline?” In the tweet, which you can see below, it’s claimed that the game is a sequel to A Link Between Worlds and features the same Link, now costumed to “hide his heroic origins.” The post then recommends playing A Link Between Worlds to get more background information on the character–leading some to believe that this was a marketing decision rather than a creative one. It’ll be interesting to see which of the other questions are chosen, and how their answers compare!

  1. Yeah no sorry but if by disguise, they mean entire face-change surgery, that ain’t gonna be a sequel.
They also kept claiming we’re NOT playing as Link all along! Are they making up their mind yet?

    1. Hey, if you want to ignore the closest sequel to the original LoZ we’ll ever had and probably the best Zelda game since at the very least the Seasons games, that’s your choice.

  2. I seem to recall them saying earlier in development that it wouldn’t fit in the timeline due to the nature of the game…..either way this does seem like a really shoehorned explanation compared to the very complicated ways the other games fit together.

Bullshit! I’m chalking this up to Nintendo of America being liars trying to make the game sale to people that care about the official timeline because some of us hate a lot of stuff about this style savvy adventure spin off trying to mooch off the Zelda name! It doesn’t exist! This game is nothing more than a very bad dream that Zelda or Link is having. Better yet! This is a dream that WW Ganondorf is having while he’s trapped at the bottom of the Great Sea!

    1. Whatever this game is, this is definitely nothing what fans have wanted. Everyone has been asking for a main, actual Zelda title for Wii U, and all we got is Nintendo’s middle finger: “Hey, Wii U owners, shut the f*ck up and spend your damn time playing the shovelware we have in the eshop!” Likewise, no one asked Nintendo the Federation Force bullcrap, and Nintendo still dares to defend their bullsh*t. They must think we are retsrded or something along those lines.

I want to say some of us are that stupid but… In reality, it’s just the ones defending Nintendo just don’t care about the games the way we do. I’m starting to wonder if the people defending Federation Force are nothing more than filthy casual fans that jumped on the Nintendo fanboy bandwagon during the Wii & refuse to go the hell away.

        1. Yeah, pretty much that. Fanboys are blind, definitely don’t care about the games and the only activity they are able to properly do is nonsense keyboard war.

      2. Well, sorry, but this isn’t true at all… the same way we got FSA in the past now we are getting this, why fan are so upset about it I don’t understand. Yeah, we want Zelda U and the lack of news is b*****t but between WW and TP we had Minish Cap and FSA; today between SS and ZU we have Triforce Heroes and ALBW.
(sorry for the bad english ; ))

        1. We are — at least, I am — upset because Nintendo should be spending their resources in worthy titles, to make justice to their past.

I see what you mean, though. The whole problem is not the spin-offs themselves, but the lack of core, root, main titles. Nobody would complain about the spin-offs if Nintendo had provided a better catalogue of games this generation.

It’s smarter than what Nintendo of ‘Murica is trying to do. Just a bunch of stupid monkeys throwing their own feces at each other.

  4. Can Nintendo just come out and admit there is no actual timeline? They’re just making zelda games and when they’re finished with them, they just stick it somewhere in the timeline.

If there wasn’t one before, there is one now. A ton of Zelda fans actually care about the franchise’s story & the placement of each game, so this timeline is for us. The casual fans of Zelda are more than welcome to ignore the official timeline as Hyrule Historia specifically states you don’t have to rely on it.

      1. I would care if it actually made sense. When this new zelda was announced, it was stated that it would not be a part of the timeline. Now they’ve gone back and stuck it somewhere in the timeline. It shows how loosely Nintendo is with the timeline. Even them saying you don’t have to rely on it shows how little effort they put into the timeline.

If it was Nintendo of Japan putting this game in the timeline, I’d agree. But it’s Nintendo of Americunts saying this most likely in an attempt to sell this filthy game to timeline fans. NoA is full of retards so we can’t really fully take anything they say to heart.

(Finally got one through (2 tries & 1 success) that wasn’t getting that stupid “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” crap. Those comments always get trapped in moderation hell.)

  5. They said before that this game was not placed on the timeline, this link is the same as the ALBT? They even dont look the same, and no, the art style can be different, but even the art style being different the character doesn’t resemble the link for ALBW. Even being a costume or be covered. This seems like an excuse for me, wow I’m really being upset with Nintendo nowadays..

    1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

It most likely is. Nintendo of ‘Murica is seeing all the hate this game is getting so they are trying to shoehorn this filthy spin-off with a style savvy gimmick added into the timeline to make it sell to the many Zelda fans in America that care about a Zelda timeline. I’m surprised they didn’t try this bullshit with Hyrule Warriors; although, I’d rather have Hyrule Warriors be made canon to the timeline than Triforce “Style Savvy” Heroes.

    1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Except this is a bullshit lie by Nintendo of ‘Murica to sell this game to people that hate it but care about the timeline. That shit isn’t going to work on me. Still not buying this Style Savvy: Zelda Edition game.

I’m not insulting America, just so y’know, because I’m American myself. I’m insulting the incompetent dumbshits at NoA. Again, don’t believe this bullshit. But if you want to be a sucker/sheep & believe those lying fucks, there’s nothing much I can do for ya.

Nope. There is a timeline as far as those of us that care about the franchise’s story are concerned, and some of us are thankful there is finally an official timeline from Nintendo themselves. But nothing’s stopping you from ignoring it, and us timeline fans, & just playing the franchise simply for the gameplay. Now if you’ll excuse me, I got some Zelda timeline theorizing to tend to as it makes the Zelda franchise fun even when not playing the games.
