Playtonic Games recently advised a Twitter user that they plan to have off-tv play functionality on the Wii U version of their upcoming title Yooka-Laylee.

Yooka-Laylee is currently still in development, and we have recently seen more information emerge about the title such as new character Rextro SixtyFourus, and additional development details.

Yeah I thought that was pretty much a staple for U games at this point.
Most. But not all. Tropical Freeze didn’t use the gamepad at all if I remember correctly.
It has off TV play, but other than that nothing special no.
Never played it. That doesn’t make a lot of sense though. Why not use the gamepad if it’s available?
