LA Times List Their Favourite Video Games Of 2015

The Los Angeles Times is the latest publication to reveal their favourite video games of 2015. It’s been a great year for gamers with a wide variety of titles on offer and that is reflected in the list. Nintendo feature once again with Splatoon and Super Mario Maker and I can see this being a trend. Anyway, here’s the Los Angeles Times best games of 2015.

1. Cibele
2. Her Story
3. Life is Strange
4. Rise of the Tomb Raider
5. Ori and the Blind Forest
6. Sunset
7. Splatoon
8. Prune
9. Volume
10. Super Mario Maker

  1. Her Story and Cibele topped the list? Literal playable movies with live action clips on par in acting with the wondrous classics like Night Trap on the Sega CD and Sewer Shark on the 3DO? Seriously?

    I could easily understand games like Life is Strange, Ori and the Blind Forest and Splatoon…..but both of those had dreary reviews from anyone and everyone….blargh.

    1. It really depends on the persons taste. To me I find the game very interesting, however I don’t find it GOTY worthy.

  2. I hate when people acknowledge online-only games and put them into charts. Like Life is Strange. I don’t feel that a game even deserves recognition if it’s not a physical release. Or…..those games should have a chart of their own, separate from retail releases. Same with eShop games.

    1. Much like most Telltale games, it gets a physical release after all episodes have been released digitally. The physical copies for Life is Strange arrive in January.

  3. Jaded Ridley X3 {I'm not whining, you suckers... *cough* ..poor souls! I've just been driven insane by Nintendo failing me one too many times this gen!}

    Life is Strange again… Well I enjoyed the demo & I can tell from that that I’m gonna enjoy the soundtrack so preorder for Life is Strange Limited Edition for PS4 has been confirmed on GameStop. January 19th, get here soon!
