Those of you in the United Kingdom who were hoping to get their Shovel Knight amiibo this month could well be in for a disappointment. UK retailer GAME is stating that orders for the sought after amiibo have been pushed back to January 8th. I personally received an email from the Nintendo UK Store explaining that its release date had been pushed back. Neither company has explained why the amiibo has been delayed. Let’s just hope it is actually released in January as it is all a bit of a mess!

I was very upset when I didn’t receive my Amiibo and even the GAME employees themselves had no idea because they kept telling me they’d be instock by Thursday but it didn’t arrive. So I think it might have something to do with the Manufacturing of the Amiibo because lets not forget, Yacht Club and Nintendo decided to make the Amiibo through the same company who makes the Disney Infinity figures, so it might be delayed due to that.
Who knows, personally, I’m not disappoint as much now because I got my Kylo Ren Disney Infinity figure on my birthday on Friday, so there’s that.
Also, Sickr if you need any more news from the UK about Nintendo I can do some research into it and I’ll give you the information.
I just pre-ordered mine at Best Buy here in America. I should be getting him on January 8th as well. I think I read somewhere the reason for the delay was because If they would have gone with the original date the supply would have been very limited and they didn’t want to put people through that whole amiibo shortage ordeal again.
Well that makes sense.
It’s good that they’re making sure everyone gets the Amiibo instead of just the lucky few.
