Here’s The Pokemon Sun And Moon Press Release

For 20 years, Pokémon has delighted millions of fans of all ages and has become one of the most successful entertainment brands in the world. During today’s Pokémon Direct presentation, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, announced Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the newest additions to a legendary series that has sold more than 275 million video games since the debut of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in 1996 for the Game Boy system in Japan. Developed by GAME FREAK inc.,Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be launching holiday 2016 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and, for the first time, will offer Traditional and Simplified Chinese as language options.

“The Pokémon core series games are the center of the Pokémon universe and provide some of the most memorable Pokémon moments for our fans,” said J.C. Smith, senior director of Consumer Marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “I can’t wait to see what fans think of the new adventures they’ll find in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.”

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will also have Pokémon Bank functionality. This online storage application will make it possible for fans to move Pokémon wirelessly from Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version and Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, which come to the Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS on February 27, to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be transferred to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon through Pokémon Bank. 1. I remember saying this would be a cool idea if they ever brought the older games to VC but everyone was like “no no becuz of old data it wuldnt wurk!”

  1. Still disappointed that we didn’t get an actual game play trailer, but oh well. I guess the announcement would have made a much bigger impact if the games hadn’t been leaked beforehand.

    1. Just because it’s easier to do on the social networks as I can bump them etc, whereas a competition blog post would get completely buried on the main site due to the news. You do deserve a prize though! :D

      1. 🎭Mr. Boss Ass Bitch💊

Oh I see. I saw the Facebook give away and wondered why. And nah one of your “friendly” commenters deserve it more than I do.

          1. I’m waiting for a Mewtwo Plushie to arrive that I plan to give away. You guys 100% deserve it so I will run the competition on the blog and you can enter via the comments. I’m just waiting to hear when the thing will arrive, but when it does I will give it away on here :) PS sorry if a Mewtwo plushie isn’t your thing!

            1. Ha, I figured Commander! Anyway, next competition I run will be on the actual blog. Details can be found above. Just waiting for the item to be released and shipped out!

      1. It’s because you’re foolish enough to believe in this stupid so-called “official” leaks. Heh, I can’t believe people can be so dumb, I mean we didn’t even get ANY footage of the game. That wasn’t Ishihara, it was just a photoshopped hologram of Little Mac, where someone hacked into Nintendo’s account and deployed this massive fake leak in the form of a fake direct.

        Btw here’s the joke explained:

        1. I see the joke now. But I don’t see how that applies to the article. This article is about a press release, not a leak. And calling me stupid was uncalled for. Especially when your comment had nothing to do with this article, not to mention I didn’t even say I believed in any leaks to begin with. So if you’re gonna call me stupid, you should look in the mirror buddy.

  2. Yaaaaaaas. It’s happening! I wonder if they’ll release a New 3DS edition for this. I bet they will. And I want it. I want all of it. Give it to me!

  3. Cant wait for both to be released, I assume ‘holidays’ means a Christmas launch. The trading / sharing of Pokemon caught in the Virtual Console version of Red, Blue and Yellow to the ‘Pokemon Bank’ online which can then be used in Sun and Moon.

  4. I am extremely excited for these games! Hopefully this time around we will have more Pokemon since they don’t have to create 3D models for every Pokemon all over again. The biggest shock about this to me is that it’s for 3DS with the NX (if it’s the hybrid console it’s rumored to be.) seemingly coming out later this year.

New region! New Pokemon! New Adventure!

I don’t think we will get all regions (though that’d be kinda cool), but I do think we will return to Kalos atleast.

I’m going to guess 80-120 New Pokemon, 15-25 New Mega evolutions, and a bunch of just completely new stuff.

    How about everyone else?

    1. It’s not surprising at all. It’s just like how B2&W2 released on the DS even though the 3DS had already been out for a while. It’s just TPC thinking like business men and wanting their game to reach the broadest audience.

  6. I have an extremely important question to ask. Will… Cosplay Pikachu… with it’s cute heart shaped tail… be able to be sent to PokeBank now… that a new gen is coming!? If the answer is no & it’s stuck on my copy of Omega Ruby, fuck you, GameFreak! I wasted a shitload of stuff to get her Contest stats maxed, leveled her up to a nice level, gave her an awesome name, & got rid of my former Pikachu because I liked her fucking tail!

*huff, huff*breathes in & out slowly*calms self & lets out a sigh of relief* -.- Okay. I’m fine now & feel much better. x3

    1. Oh & not to mention I won every single contest on every single rank in every single type of contest with that Pikachu. :/
