A video has surfaced on YouTube that is comparing Star Fox Zero Corneria footage from the recent Nintendo Direct with the footage at E3 2015, which is when the game was first announced. Although the latter is off-screen, the video does a good job at showing what has changed in the past year. Feel free to check out the video below.
Star Fox Zero will release worldwide exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U on April 22nd.

It really improved since the E3 demo.
Like, a lot.
It looks fine, but I liked it better in the earlier footage.

Just imagine if they could have dropped all those exclusives in the first two years of the Wii U’s lifespan… would have been incredible. Hope they are planning head in Kyoto a little better this time
So instead of looking like a GC launch game, it looks like a Wii launch game now.
Yawn.
I don’t remember Wii launch games looking this good. Weird.
Hokay. For the sake of indulging you – *Wii game. Point still stands.
You need to see an optometrist.
You need to stop being unrealistic and put your bullshit fanboy bias aside.
Ha. Nope.

I like how it looks. It has certainly improved, which is good.
As long as the game is fun, that’s what really matters to me. And it looks extremely fun.
I’m hyped for April! Star Fox, Ratchet and Clank, Dark Souls 3… damn. Awesome.
I’m thinking about Dark Souls 3! What kind of game is it? It looks awesome, but I’ve not played one yet.
I also think I’ll pick up Witcher3 as soon as I see a sale.
The Dark Souls (and Bloodborne) games are.. well, I guess I’d call them action rpgs. They’re very brutal games that are well known for how much they’ll punish you for going into battles button mashing, or just no patience to learn how to fight the enemies.
I’ll be honest, the first time I played Dark Souls, I hated it.. like, a lot lol. But it really grew on me. It’s brutal, but once you learn the combat system, taking down enemies is verrrry satisfying.
Think Monster Hunter-like controls, only a bit more fluid. Timing your attacks is important, since cooldown animations are common. Watch some gameplay and keep in mind that it’s anything but a hack n’ slash, and that the game is based on learning enemy patterns and avoiding attacks by rolling. As @megamandied says, the game punishes you for being reckless, but it’s not really unfair (usually).
You don’t have The Witcher 3 yet!? *smacks* Don’t wait for a sale! That game is worth it at 50 bucks! I haven’t even gotten too far into the main story yet because I’ve been so busy going after secondary quests & witcher contracts. Not to mention the random goodies scattered about that aren’t tied to a quest. But I must warn you. The load times are long as I believe they penalize you for starting over because you actually do get to decide the fate of many characters, even entire communities, by the choices you make in the game. Sometimes, choices aren’t always black & white. And sometimes the outcomes of your choices don’t always end up all happy ending for everyone involved where the good guys live & the bad guys die. Sometimes there isn’t a morality choice but a “how many people are you willing to sacrifice” choice. Go for saving a few little children but get an entire village killed in the process or do you save the village but let the children die? Oh & the Season Pass is around 25 bucks but it adds 30 extra hours of gameplay to the overall game, so I think it’s well worth the price. So you are looking at around 75-80 bucks for the main game & the season pass.

I’m getting a first-print copy. Fuck it. That Direct got me hyped as fuck for this.
Can’t decide if I want the bundled physical copy or just get both on the eshop…
I’m getting them both physically for collecting’s sake, but I can see why you’d want to get them digitally. That said, the physical edition includes a download code for Star Fox Guard, not a disc, so it’s pretty convenient.
A code? Damn it, I have no room left on my Wii U.
I saw that on the European Direct. The game has a physical case, but it just includes a download code. Might have to re-check, but I’d swear that was the deal.
CORRECTION: I double-checked that. The first print edition includes physical copies of BOTH games. The steel case shown holds 2 CDs. The regular physical edition of Guard (the one sold separately) comes with a download code.
Ooooh for some reason I thought it was 2 discs bundled together. The physical edition looks neato though, that’s why I’m so torn, but I play certain games more when I don’t have to change discs, and I feel like I’d play Zero a lot…
That’s why I said it is convenient. I like having Zero on disc, but Defense looks much more ‘pick up and play’ in nature due to it being level and online based.
Yeah I still find that game confusing looking but I think once I play it it will all click
I think it’s some kind of tower-defense title. The cameras are your units, and you need to place them in the walls so you can shoot the enemies that invade the structure from behind. It’s pretty clever, and I’m guessing it can be quite frantic. I’m not normally interested in tower-defense games, but getting a good look at it along the new information about Zero sold me on the whole package pretty quickly.
It seems like it would be a fun game to have a few friends over to watch the screen and help you play, definitely adds value to the starfox package, i’m glad they included it. ^^
Same here. The question is, what about Project Giant Robot? Whatever happened to that? I hope we get an update on that soon. It slipped from the 2015 lineup without a word.
Yeah I wonder if they’ll incorporate the concept into an already existing game, but I have no idea what that would be. Maybe we’ll see it later on the NX…
I am personally hoping Project Giant Robot becomes a replacement for Rare’s Blast Corps.
People were saying it looked like a Punch-Out prototype. Between that idea and the codename, I couldn’t think of anything but this: http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s–vmek0kMc–/18649bcbebps0jpg.jpg
:/ In that case, I will be hoping for something like this.

Then again, this is Miyamoto of today we’re talking about here. He might let some of us down.
Yeah… I guess for me it will depend on how big the game size is. If I delete Smash, I should be ok. I only Smash on my N3DS anyway.
It definitely looks better now. The quality is no longer fuzzy & actually looks like HD now. And I don’t know if it’s because this is from youtube but the game does look like it’s a Wii game in HD. *shrug*
I would argue that the majority of Wii U games look like Wii games in HD. It is the rule, not the exception.
I like how it looks but….the screen comparison doesn’t really help much due to the screen glow. :/
Normally, I can’t really see much difference in comparison videos like this. But I can definitely see it in this one. The game looks much more sharp, crisp and detailed now than it originally did. It used to look almost N64-ish.
Oh yeah Star Fox Zero looks a lot improved this is great news, game moves faster and more enemies should be lot of challenge, Best game of April 2016 no doubt this is only game will be buying and first print edition and was so excited when I saw this, Why no console bundle on Star fox zero that’s bit unfair for people want to buy a Wiiu for this game, We only have Splatoon that’s old, Super mario maker who wants to buy a bundle on this game, Xenoblade chronicles x is a boring game why bundle on this game.
We need a console bundle on Starfox zero it will best one ever and was looking forward it to come out, we will have to see if they will release one.
I seriously don’t like Bayonetta 2 character is not well designed and has boring levels with no weapons just a crappy gun very poor game other one is Xenoblade chronicles x is not my kind of game and felt making big environments made game very boring to explore so I will delete both of these games and Install both Starfox games also I will selling both Bayonetta 2 & Xenoblade chronicles for cash and what a waste of time money will never buy Bayonetta and Xenoblade games ever again and Please don’t release them, just given them to Sony & Microsoft.
