Wii U owners in Japan will soon have the pleasure of playing Dragon Quest X: Awakening of the Five Tribes Online for free for a limited time. You can download the client for free and then play online for 20 days, or alternatively play offline free forever. The MMORPG is free to download until March 31 at 23:59 Japan time. The game is around 24 gigabytes and if you’re after the various expansions then those are sold separately.

Looks good to me. I would think that would do OK over in the US. I’ve never played a DQ game but I like mmorpg style game’s.
If they would have hopped on all the hype of DBZ in the early 2000’s and heavily advertised Dragon Quest in correlation with DBZ I think we’d be seeing a lot more DQ over here in the states right now. I’m hoping the rumor that DQ10 is coming to the NX is true, but that still doesn’t guarantee a US release I guess :(

Haven’t seen it myself either. I just know about it. The first couple of episodes are just retellings of the DBZ movies Battle of Gods & Resurrection F. Once those episodes are over with, it’ll start moving on to original content.

I take it back. They’ve already moved on to original content. In fact, the first season of DBS is already over with. lol It’s over 30 episodes long.
