Nintendo Looking At “Different Ways Miitomo Will Grow Over Time”

As I’m sure you’re well aware Nintendo finally launched Miitomo in the west yesterday for both iOS and Android platforms. Nintendo’s first venture into smartphone gaming isn’t going to be a short lived one as they have big plans for Miitomo. Specifically they are looking to expand on its concept by studying the data showing them how people are playing and interacting with the social application.

“Our development team is looking at it very much as just the initial release,” says Trinen. “They do have plans to continue to update. They’ll probably start by looking at how people are playing with Miitomo and how they’re interacting with it. But I think they’re looking at a couple of different ways that Miitomo will grow over time.”

“Certainly some of the updates are the addition of new outfits or new versions of the Miitomo drop mini-game, which you play using game tickets. You can even see, on the simpler side, updates to the questions you’re asked. But I also think they’re going to be looking longer term at the opportunity to do bigger updates that might add in new features and expand the experience.”

    1. Currently only possible to add people through other social media (Twitter and Facebook), so if anyone’s going to add anyone, people need to share their profiles.

        1. I just added you.

For anyone else that wants to add me, I have facebook and twitter linked to my wordpress.

P.S. Just a heads up, I probably won’t actually be using fb or twitter. I only made the accounts so I could add new people in miitomo.

    2. I'm just an Animal Crossing

You’ll have to friend me on Twitter I don’t have Facebook. Or we can add face to face. Wish it wasn’t so limited.

    3. i just added my twitter to my gravatar profile under websites, anyone feel free to add me. I don’t have Miitomo yet but plan on getting it tomorrow and might reactivate my fb as well lol

    4. After seeing this, I thought it actually wouldn’t be a bad idea to make a Twitter account just for Miitomo, so I did that. And added you. :)

Anyone can feel free to add me, @_Luxiere is the name.

  1. They need a better way of adding friends, how about your Nnid, or your 3ds fc something better than fucking twitter, i don’t have a twitter, fuck social media…

  2. I’d like to gradually see some tomodachi life stuff transitioned in, and maybe some games other than the plinko one we currently have to get cosmetics. Customizable rooms like in Tomodachi would be great too, especially if you could go check out other friends places.

  3. i got Miitomo and downloaded it but i have some few problems with the app after i link the app to my Network ID and i have to wait until its done loading to 100% after its still loading it said this (there is not enough free space on your device support code: 801-0012) yeah thats what it says i deleted all of my apps to get miitomo app so yeah after it saids not enough free space i have to press ok but after i press ok over and over again it keeps on saying the same warning over and over again after i press ok yeah i think the apps is having some problems now and it wont let me go forward to the app :/

    1. I got this from Reddit:

“I had the same issue and found a way to fix it: Once the loading got to 100%, I put my phone on airplane mode, killing the internet connection. Then I went back to the Miitomo screen and got an error message for lack of connection. I pressed OK and turned the airplane mode off. I got another error pop up, clicked OK again. A moment after, the app took me to the next screen which is avatar creation. I hope it works for you too!”

  4. How about a 3DS port, so my Nintendo members can play Miitomo without buying a smart phone, and don’t feel self-loathing for being My Nintendo (the thing that replaced Club Nintendo, and physical rewards) members.

I want WarioWare Touched! for the 3DS (a handheld game on a handheld system).

  5. Adding new games to it is a no-brainer. I’m sure they could come up with something similar to the Mii Drop so you can win new costumes. Variety would make it less repetitive. New ways to interact with each other would be fun too. They could bring back the Everybody Votes app from Wii into it, that would be kind of fun to do again. I enjoyed going into it and voting and seeing the results so it’d be fun to have a voting thing in Miitomo as well.
