    1. It’s very likely this isn’t Monster Hunter 5, and is instead a sort of spin-off game from the regular line of main games in a sense. The same sort of thing as Freedom, Freedom Unite, Portable 3rd, Frontier, as it would definitely have a 5 in it’s titling otherwise.

      1. From what i’ve seen of the game its not really a spin off, but the actual next game in the series, but i could very well be wrong. I haven’t even played MH4U for myself (ive just watched others play) so who am i to say?

    2. No, Monster Hunter Generations is basically MH 4.5. They are using it to prep players for the combat changes that will be happening in gen 5 by adding them to the 4U engine. The reason it was called X in Japan is because in Japan, X means “Cross”, because in this game, the player can revisit the main cities from the past 4 gens of Monster Hunter. However, because “Monster Hunter Cross” doesn’t really get that message across as well in America, it was changed from Cross to Generations for the wester audience, so they could understand what the point of it is.

      1. Heroes of Ruin had voice chat, and didn’t even use the upgraded power of the N3DS. It can be done, and I want it also. :)

  1. I loved MH4. Life got in the way and I more or less abandoned by fighting buddies, and Miiverse. Id love to jump back in with MHGen, but I just don’t think I have the time. Maybe by this summer!
I’m still way behind in the Etrain Odyssey series, and have Birthright and Revelations to play in FE!
    I’m swamped.
