The ever-reliable ZHugeEX has posted some startling data on Twitter regarding finances for both Sony and Nintendo. In the calendar year 2015 Sony managed to generate $4.3 billion from Network Sales alone while Nintendo generated $4.7b from everything. It does make you wonder whether they will take Sony and Microsoft’s route of charging users for online play with their next platform the Nintendo NX. We shall find out at E3.

They had some good sales a couple days ago. I nabbed the Order 1886 for $8 I think. And yeah, a lot of games are indies, but over the course of a year, there’s bound to be something good pop up. That said, Xbox’s deals are way better! I’ve gotten Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Just Cause 2, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, and a few others I can’t remember all for free.
I got Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gold Edition months ago for 30 bucks less than it’s original price. If that’s a bad deal, I don’t want to be good!

It was on sale & I was able to get the game & all of it’s DLC for the price of the game as if I didn’t buy the DLC at all. Of course I’m not gonna pass that shit up! I’m over the Watch Dogs & Rayman Origins bullshit. After all, I stuck to my guns as I haven’t bought either of those games from them. I might give Watch Dogs’ sequel a pass, though. Oh & I haven’t bought Assassin’s Creed Unity, either. Of course, if there is ever a chance to get that game cheap as hell, I might give in. I got Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag digitally on my PS4, too. Shame I can’t get Assassin’s Creed III as well.
Rayman Legends is really fun. I suggest you give it a try. It was the first Rayman game I’ve ever bought and I absolutely love it. I know Ubisoft gets a lot of hate, but they really do have fantastic games sometimes. Most of their recent releases have been pretty good too from what I’ve heard.
To be honest, I’ve never been too big on platform games outside of Mario & Donkey Kong. Banjo & Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day were the exceptions. But those two were never just simply platformers, either.
All I can say is that if you like Mario, you will most likely enjoy Rayman.

there is kinda no point in getting physical ps4 copies as its just gonna copy the entire game on to the hdd yet you still cant play the game without the disc.
But you can resell and let friends borrow physical games. I have a large collection of both digital and physical games. They both have their pros and cons.
It’s true, reselling is nice but I get tired of dealing with craigslist crazies. Lately I have been buying physical for pre-orders since amazon gives that discount, then I resell if I don’t like the game. However, I don’t pre-order very much.
It’s a pity that Nintendo makes so little compared to their competitors. That number doesn’t take into account the revenue that Sony takes in from physical games and hardware sales inlcuding accessories like controllers and PS cameras. So it’s easy to imagine that the number provided is just a fraction of what they’ve made so far.

One feature that both MS and Sony have with their consoles are cloud saves. I don’t always use it, but I certainly appreciate it. I also used my PS4 as a blu-ray player for a couple animes I had. Which is pretty convenient. I wouldn’t exactly say these are must have things for a gaming console, but when everyone else has this stuff and Nintendo doesn’t, it just makes it more difficult for someone to choose them over the competition.
And Nintendo has free online that doesn’t charge 60$. Bruh. Wii U has some other things that Sony and the others have but I can’t get it off the tip of my tongue.
The only real advantage of Nintendo’s console is probably the fact that there is free online. But it is not getting the same kind of third party support the other consoles have. You won’t be able to take advantage of that free online in the latest big titles because they don’t even come to the platform. Other than that, I’m pretty sure that’s all. Sony and Microsoft have a lot more to offer on their digital stores like games, movies, TV shows, themes, avatars, game discounts, free games, etc. As well as everything not being tied to any hardware. It’s all on your own account and can be taken to any other different system. Including those cloud saves like I just mentioned.
The Nintendo eshop has digital games and some discounts. That’s it… And your purchases are tired to the console. So even if Nintendo actually did offer what their competition does, you’d better not ever plan to trade your console in cause you’re gonna need it to transfer data safely. Otherwise, say goodbye to all those purchases. This is no problem though on PS4 and Xbox One.

and that is exactly why nintendo doesnt want to try too hard, yes they hear all the feedbacks and a few do get resolved but they fear of pulling a sega which they dont want. the nx needs to be more powerful than the current gen and needs to be an actual 9th gen console but at the same time they need to focus on the quality games it will have, not only that but the line-up of games. do i think ports are necessary? only a few or just have some patch where resolution and textures be a lot better when popping a wii u game in the nx, it will save nintendo and devs money than just porting games (games out on the wii u). the ports i support are games out on x-bone, ps4 and pc.

No I know, it’s just I personally have high expectations set for a quality of gaming that Nintendo can deliver to the young audience and the older fans who have been buying systems over the years. I’m more just waiting this out until Nintendo opens up about what NX is supposed to be, then I’ll make my decision. Personally though, I would love for them to pump out an on the level power machine that could run all the big games.

It happened to me when Nintendo Direct reveals Ryu as a DLC character in Super Smash Bros. and in the Final Smash reveals Corrin, Cloud’s moves and Midgar stage and Bayonetta. That’s when I begin to hype it up. My best advice from me to you is to lower your expectations. It’s what you do.

When DLC is done right, I don’t mind getting it. Like Mario Kart 8’s DLC, that’s a great example of doing DLC right.

I like the way they are doing DLC with SFV though, paying for it with real money is optional, you can purchase all DLC with “fight money” which is earned in game.

The only confirmed Sony hack where data was stolen was the Sony Pictures private internal servers hack (no consumer data was at risk).
PSN’s network was attacked (massive DDOS attack that brought them to their knees) but there was no proof that any data was stolen. Nintendo and Xbox have had their networks actually hacked several times over the past few years with consumer accounts being hijacked and data breached (along with banks, government agencies, retail stores, etc.). Just thank the media for which ones they highlight the most.
Either way, nothing is hack proof, especially if you’re singled out as a target.

You know, Nintendo did the same with a few games too. Need For Speed Most Wanted U is digital only in Europe. Fatal Frame V is also digital only in NA. No option for physical copies in these regions.
The moment Nintendo wants to charge gamers for online services is the moment Nintendo fans would pay for it. But Nintendo would be criticized harshly from non-die-hard fans if their online system isn’t as good as Sony’s or Microsoft’s, at the very least. To pay for something that was once free means that there needs to be a benefit that wasn’t there when it was free. If there isn’t, it’s an attempt at making a quick buck.

They dropped the ball last generation with Wii’s severely limited online infrastructure. I wouldn’t mind paying for online if the service was up to par. My XB1 rarely has online issues, such as lagging or the store going down. My PS4 will lag on occasion, but nothing game breaking. The only game on the Wii U that I play online is Smash and sometimes matches are unplayable due to the amount of lag. And I remember when Mewtwo was released, I couldn’t get on the eShop for days before it would finally load up. If paying for online helps Nintendo get better servers, then please Nintendo I want quality. I don’t care that I have to pay for it.
The reason why your online is lagging when playing Super Smash Bros. is you have– A) Your slow-ass internet connection… DSL, or B) You forgot to purchase a LAN adapter. Double standards. You really need to get a faster speed internet connection.
Both my PS4 and XB1 don’t suffer from lag though and they’re both using wifi. Also, an ethernet port should be standard on any console. You shouldn’t have to buy a seperate accessory to make sure your product can perform its best.
