Nintendo has sent out an email to some customers who reserved a copy of the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition from the Nintendo UK store. The product sold out on April 1st. However, it began to show up again a few days later due to a “technical error”. A £5 voucher was gifted in the email as a “gesture of goodwill”.
A new Fire Emblem Fates bundle can be found at the Nintendo UK store here. The bundle includes a packaged version of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest downloadable content, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation downloadable content, a Fire Emblem Fates T-Shirt and a Fire pre-order exclusive Emblem Fates 3DS theme. The new bundle costs £69.99.
The Revelation, Birthright and Conquest versions of Fire Emblem Fates are now available in North America on Nintendo 3DS. Europe will get the Conquest and Birthright versions on May 20th and the Revelation version on June 9th.
Thanks, MasterPikachu6

*Sigh* No surprise there. I’m in North America, but I know bad that feels… First the UK gets the game later than everyone else, then they have to deal with the same BS with the special edition. I’m sorry guys </3
I find it VERY annoying that this happened twice on the same special edition. Please no more “technical error”.
I’m so happy I pre ordered it on the first day when it was on pre sale. I’m mean come on, do you really want to pay $200+ to a fucking scalper for a special edition that is only $80… Nintendo Just Can’t learn from their own mistakes. This is Ridiculous…
Oh this is balls.
They’re idiots for making this a limited edition…
well, not idiots, it’s a limited edition.
You can get the 2 games everywhere, and then download the epilogue.
The cartridge contains all 3…sold in limited edition. That’s why the call it limited edition. If not, they will call it regular but slightly limited edition. It’s supposed to be hard to get or exclusive/expensive.
HoweverI agree, they could at least fulfill 1st wave of pre-orders. For people that actually care for the game and were paying attention to every step of the game release. This would be a fair limited edition. We agree on that (I think).
I never, ever, missed a limited edition. If you really want it, you can have it. I wanted this limited edition, I managed to keep an eye on amazon and click on that preoder button.
I can actually say, since at least 2011, I never missed a pre-order (before 2011, I used to live in a place where pre orders weren’t even possible). At least amazon germany is really fair with its preorders. There is one first very limited sell, 1st day, then a few weeks later a “massive” one that usually lasts 2/3 days. Then a couple of days before release there is another major preoder. Once you understand how it works, it’s actually not very complicated.
But canceling prorders for a inner-glitch…I’m really sorry about that. They should do as humanly possible to do right. a 5 pound voucher won’t do sh&%it..
I finally got one! Thank you so much to the poster you have my most heartfelt thanks. I’m Truly greatful you shared this information with us
Seriously Nintendo, you need to do something about the way you handle special editions.
I’m glad I was fortunate to get my special edition here in the US, but this constant mishandling of your product has got to be corrected one of these days.
I have to agree with Greg on this one Nintendo are not good when it comes to marketing and although i hate to say this even Microsoft and Sony have better marketing for their products and this is coming from a person that work in an agency for them and worships Nintendo like gods. So come on guess step up your game
…I’m one of the people whose pre-order got cancelled. I ordered mine ALL the way back in February – three months ago – during the very short (only one week) window when the pre-order was available in Finland.
AND IT STILL GOT CANCELLED. Even though I got it on time!
@axelchaulet (@megaculin) …I really don’t think there’s going to be a “couple of days before the release” pre-order for this one. Considering people get their pre-orders cancelled due to limited stock even now. It means they have nothing left anymore. …They haven’t had anything left since February when I ordered mine.
