RISE: Race The Future is one of the first games to be confirmed for Nintendo’s next platform which is currently code-named the Nintendo NX. The futuristic racer is also coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC and Nintendo 3DS. You can catch a glimpse of what to expect from the trailer which I’ve embedded below.

I REALLY, REALLY want a Good simulation style racing game to play on my Nintendo systems. It feels like forever since there has even been a notable Option along those lines. I was super exited to play Project Cars on WiiU … and super bummed when that version was scrapped.
So, this game is ‘supposedly’ coming to Nintendo NX, WiiU … and 3DS?
Pretty much anything coming to both WiiU and NX I intend to get the NX version only (unless the WiiU version comes out at least 4+ months before the NX version, and I just REALLY want to play it), so WiiU is too little, too late IMHO.
The NX is the Tagline of this article though, and I must admit … it is comforting to know that, no matter what NXs ‘new way to play’, is, it is not so radical as to not make ports of multiplatform games completely viable.
Am I crazy for almost being More interested in the 3DS version of this game than the NX one? I could REALLY go for some good physics simulation/ arcade racing on my 3DS. … especially if it took advantage of the extra power of my =NEW= 3DS (which it almost surely won’t).

The future is NeXt! I cannot wait to see this indie title coming next year to Nintendo’s all-new system… the Nintendo NX.

Agreed. What was the point of a long trailer showing a shiny race car? Zero.
It’s not really a trailer. It’s called a project announcement for a reason. They’re not trying to sell you the game based on this, just to tell you that they’re working on a game that might interest you.
To both of you think I jumped to too harsh a conclusion due to ignorance… that doesn’t make this a good ‘teaser’ or ‘reveal’. I still don’t like it whatever name you put on it. Now, that being said, I will admit some fault in that yes, because it is not a trailer it shouldn’t be put into the same category as something that is coming out very soon and they just show cut scenes or have a complete commercial/trailer with no gameplay…

I highly doubt this game is coming to PS4 NX, Wii U of all consoles and 3DS?! The 3DS?! If they said the Vita then yeah okay I can see that but 3DS? Maybe NEW 3DS.. But 3DS? I’ll believe it when I sees it.
Except the fact that the developers of this game is NOT from Project CARS… but evidently IronFall: Invasion for the Nintendo 3DS.
Trailer, commercial, reveal, sizzle reel, announcement, reveal… Call it whatever, it still sucks all the same. Totally having Project cars vibe coming from this already. Man. Nintendo better hurry it up and say or show and tell something if they even wanna be relevant anymore!

The cars look nice. But I was hoping for something more. Like maybe an accouncement of what kind of racing game it is. Is it like the old school racing games or is it open world where you can actually travel to the race like in NFS: Most Wanted?
What you’ve just saw was just a TEASER trailer… not a full one. However your hope is as good as mine. RISE is truly gonna be Project CARS’s bitch when it comes to the Nintendo NX at launch… March 2017. For now, you’ve earned your “like” with respect.
Speaking of teaser trailers, maybe game developers should quit doing teasers. They didn’t do Aliens: Colonial Marines & Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem any good cuz it got people hopeful for something the games just didn’t end up delivering.

RISE: Race The Future is a racing game set in a near future where a new kind of wheel technology will let you race on all type of terrains and especially on water. The racing style is arcade oriented and based on mastering extreme drifts. One of the clear inspiration is Sega Rally. In addition to the arcade mode, a history mode will allow the player to unlock the futuristic cars exclusively designed for the game. Throughout the progression the enigmatic sci-fi scenario will also reveal the real purpose of RISE: Race The Future. RISE: Race The Future will be available on the main online stores for mobile devices, consoles and PCs. The release date is set for Winter 2016.
