Data from Similar Web has provided some insight into just how popular Pokémon GO is right now. As of July 8th, Pokémon GO has been installed on 5.16 percent of all Android devices in the US. Over 60% of those who have downloaded it in the US are using it every single day. This means that approximately 3% of the entire US Android population are playing the game. Pokémon GO is roughly equal to Twitter in terms of active daily users. As of July 8th, the app is being used for an average of 43 minutes, 23 seconds a day. This is higher than Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat and even Facebook’s Messenger app.
Pokémon GO Is Matching Twitter In Terms Of Daily Active Users

Business is booming and so are the servers.
Business is booming but not the servers.
They’re dead.
Slowly but surely we’re taking over!
Nintendo does what Microsoft & Sony don’t.
well i lol’d on that slogan, good one. if only i had a smart device i would download but by the time i get one no one will play it.
||Everything is going as I have foreseen…||
Let’s wait to see if this still holds true in 6 months. Twitter has been around for a loooong time. PokeGo has not.
does anyone even play poke’mon any more?
That’s a dangerous thing to say on a Nintendo news website, partner…

My 17 year old niece still loves and plays Pokemon games. But I myself got burned out after completing just one game, and then lost all interest.
this game is a fucking beast
i’m seeing it everywhere, people who don’t talk about videogames are talking about it and it isn’t even out in my country
rip twitter
It just came out of course the hype is up just let things settle down and see what happens then.
Things settled down for Miitomo yet some people were still using it for memes.
Unlike Miitomo which is more of a poll and quiz system, of course Pokemon GO would do a lot better. Anyway, this probably doesn’t mean much since I’m sure there has been dozens of mobile games that had more active users than Twitter long before this game released.
Now hopefully Nintendo will keep this mobile stuff where it belongs: smartphones and tablets.
