Earlier today, we reported on a rumour that the Nintendo NX would feature detachable controllers, force feedback and motion controls. This rumour has now gained more credence because Emily Rogers has claimed it has some truth. Known for her sources, the investigative journalist has come out in support of the claims. On Twitter, Emily claimed that the NX’s prototype matches the rumour’s description and features a 6.2 inch, 720p multitouch screen. She also mentions that the prototype docking station uses two USB ports. However, Rogers is very clear that these are the prototype’s specifications, not the final console. While her tweets are protected, a Neogaf user has posted them to the forum. Emily is often reliable, but it must be remembered that this is still a rumour.

My thoughts exactly. I used to trust her until Mother 3 never happened. Paper Mario for the Wii U and all of her other rumors were just lucky guesses.
Paper mario was rumored way before she said anything about it.
And with all those Smash leaks, I assumed nothing in this world was sacred. The NX has been the most tightly concealed secret of any console ever. Its existence is practically Mythical.
Actually the Paper Mario Wii U leak was being talked about long before Emily leaked it. I’m not saying she is always wrong but she’s not always right either. She could be right in this situation but I wouldn’t take what she says as 100% confirmation
Some people just don’t understand the meaning of the word “rumor”, apparently. Rumors are called rumors because they’re rumors. If they weren’t rumors, we’d be calling them “truths”. Of course some rumors turn out wrong in the end. Duh! They’re rumors. That doesn’t mean they were just made up by people. I don’t get where all this hate for people spreading rumors is coming from. If you take every single rumor as a confirmed fact, it’s your fault, not the fault of the people spreading the rumors.
Just because Mother 3 hasn’t arrived (at least not yet) doesn’t mean it won’t. No one said when it was coming, so all that anyone can do is wait.
Mother 3 could have bin moved to NX, or got delayed/cancelled. Dues not mean she was wrong necessary. Things could have changed on Nintendo’s end.

Some people hate the gimmicks. I don’t “hate” them, really, but I prefer a more involved experience a traditional format for a controller. Things like the Skyward Slash in Skyward Sword and the Starfox Zero controls are what make me wary of it… I did like how Splatoon handled it though.
No more FORCED motion controls. Or gimmicks. It’s good to have a choice.
eh…as long as the game is fun. I can play under most conditions regardless of the gimmicks or controls..including controllers themselves. That’s all I really care for to be honest.

I hope that other Nintendo controllers can be used with the NX. Such as the Wii remotes and Wii U Pro Controller. Because I have a gut feeling that I won’t like the NX controller. The same way that I don’t like the Gamepad (which I’m using to write this).
