Amazon UK has explained that they plan to have Nintendo Classic Mini pre-orders fulfilled by the middle of December. The system has been in and out of stock at the retailer for quite some time, but if you pre-ordered one late then you should be able to get yours in time for Christmas. Those of you who pre-ordered early will get yours on release day.
Due to limited stock we are only able to offer one unit per customer per address. You will be notified via email of the expected delivery date closer to the time. We will be fulfilling customer orders in the order in which they were placed, and expect to fill all pre-orders by mid-December 2016.

Has anyone ordered the NES AVS from RetroUSB? (HD NES console, for those who doesn’t know what I’m talking about).
P2. Has anybody seen this available for preorder in the U.S.? I checked just about anywhere and nobody has them yet.
I haven’t seen them on any store sites either. It might just be something that appears at random stores (once released) and never has a preorder on it. Much like the Atari Flashbacks, and similar consoles.
That’s annoying. By the way, this is the first time I’m hearing about the AVS. It looks pretty cool. I might consider getting one.
Target was the only one who had preorders up for them I believe.
That stinks. Guess I’ll just have to wait.
Why do you do that “P1, P2, P3, etc.” thing?
It’s a throwback to the N64 when players were designated as P1 to P4 for multiplayer games. I only do it if I’m one of the first four commentors.
It always makes me think of the SNES Super Bomberman:

I’m going to be setting up my old SNES and multitap to play with friends this weekend. Good times!!
I think it’s clear that the reason this exists is to have something relatively big for the holiday season due to the fact the Wii U is dead at this point. Sure, the 3DS has Pokémon and Super Mario Run is coming but they needed something else. If Nintendo wants to continue down this road I think they should release an official “Virtual Console.” Basically a cheap digital only device that lets you buy all the games available on the Virtual Console. Speaking of which that’s another advantage of an NX hybrid. Only one console to focus on for Virtual Console.
Why would anyone want this?
NES emulation can be done on Windows 95.
