It seems like the folks at Did You Know Gaming? are going to keep making videos until every single game franchise has been covered. Their latest video is taking a look at the often overlooked Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing series. While no Mario Kart, the games have consistently sold well and have a sizeable fan base. Check out the video below.
Did You Know Gaming? Looks At Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing

I’d get another game in this franchise for the Switch. I actually like the feel of the gameplay more than Mario Kart 8. Faster, smoother, actual balanced items, etc. The dynamic courses and single player are much better as well.
smoother im sorry not even close mk is butter silk babys bottom smooth there is no comparason you remind me of sony fags comparing nitro kart to mario kart 64 EMBARRASING
I’m not much of a grammar nazi but… here is your post in legible format.
**Smoother? I’m sorry not even close, MK is butter-silk, baby’s-bottom smooth, there is no comparison. You remind me of Sony fags comparing NitroKart to MarioKart64… EMBARRASING.
I think you meant Crash Team Racing. Nitro Kart was the sequel released shortly after Crash stopped being a Playstation franchise, so it was on everything, plus Nintendo consoles.
What’s wrong with liking Crash Team Racing more? I’m not a huge Playstation fan, but I love CTR, in fact, I prefer CTR to most, if not all Mario Karts.
I don’t know if the framerate for Sonic is better than MK8, but the game overall is better. The challenges, unlockables, tracks and flying/boating mechanics are really top notch. I absolutely love MK8. It’s one thing away from the PERFECT Mario Kart experience (needs battle maps not battle race tracks) but you can’t take away from how good Sonic is. A third game in that racing series needs to happen.
Well, obviously SASRT has its glitches, and Mario Kart 8 is smooth in terms of being mostly glitch-free, but I meant that the drifting feels so much smoother and more natural in SASRT. The drifting doesn’t detract from speed, whereas in MK8, it feels like it kinda cuts the flow a bit. At least in my opinion.
Yeah, I like Mario Kart, but geez… MK8’s physics were the worst in the series (IMO)
It Also had the worst item lineup.
Well, for me, the physics were just plain. Didn’t feel anything special, but not bad either. I actually think that out of all Mario Kart games, MK8 has the most balanced items. I know people are annoyed by the coins, but that just adds another layer of strategy in terms of being more cautious, and don’t take shells or banana peels for granted. The best items are also pretty much near last place, as should be. And the new items are not cheap or anything.
But when I compare MK8 to SASRT, MK8 feels so wooden and stale. Many of the tracks feel that way as well. Double Dash felt more funky and stuff, but they played it safe with Mario Kart 8.
Oh and by the way, I know that other guy who replied to me is a troll, but I’m not a Sega fan. In fact, I’m only familiar with the Sonic franchise, Monkey Ball, and Wreck it Ralph. Even though I know almost nothing about all the other characters, the game is just so amazing that I don’t mind.
Yeah really.
*in first place holding a coin with both a blue shell and red shell closing in*
WHAT THE FUCK CAN I DO ABOUT THESE WITH COINS!?
It’s my 2nd favorite kart racer of all time. Still doesn’t have enough to dethrone MK, bot SASRT for the Wii U is a great game.
