Press copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have been dished out and one publication that has a copy is GameXplain. The team have teamed up with YouTuber Chuggaaconroy to provide impressions of the game that they have spent 25 hours with thus far. If you want to avoid spoilers it’s probably best to try to avoid watching it, but for everyone else who is curious about the gigantic JRPG then check it out. Out review of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be published shortly. For now here’s the video!
A bit disappointed that he doesn’t say how the game runs.
Damn i just had the same though.
I’m not really too concerned about this. Both Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii and Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U ran rocksolidly with only few minor dips here and there, and even Xenoblade Chronicles 3D on the New 3DS ran nearly perfectly with, at most, slightly more minor drops than the Wii version, and all of that despite running in 3D and on much weaker hardware. In other words: I think it’s safe to assume that the people at Monolith understand a thing or two about delivering a smooth and solid experience, even in a complex open-world game.
I guess that he didn’t mention anything because the game ran fine.
The video isn’t 25 hours long.
good observating
Judging by the lenght of these games… I think he might’ve gotten past the tutorial.
I’ve not yet played a Xenoblade, even though I always wanted to play them. But this one seems to be missing big awesome robots and lasers. Is this a more fantastical setting/time period of the world or will I be able to zip around in robots later?
I have to admit, it’s been a while since I’ve played Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, but I’m pretty sure I don’t remember mechas/robots with lasers being in there. XCX definately had mechas, but only after round about 30 hours of gameplay or so. They were freaking amaszing.
I definately wouldn’t mind skells to return in Xenoblade 2, but it’s not like they’re a key element of the franchise.
Well the only bit I’ve played was like the first ten minutes on the Wii, and there were lasers and mechs.
Xenoblade Chronicles had robots and lasers, though only as enemies. I’d suppose there to be something like this in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well at some point.
