Well, that was a bad idea because within that time someone can find a way to get past the preload lock and spoil Star Allies for everyone.
Exactly what I was thinking! Why was this a good idea?
I’ve never once heard of this happening, and preloads on PC well in advance have been standard for years. These things are locked off with a 128-bit encryption key which is virtually impossible to brute force. My understanding is that even with the most effective cryptographic technique known to attack AES keys, it would still take literally millions of years on the current and foreseeable computing power to brute force.

I agree with frogpus no one has been able to play a game before release on switch also I’m jealous na or japan doesn’t have this

Paid for Bayonetta 1 & 2 already.
Sucks that western release does not include cart for the first game, I would have paid 10 to 20€ more for it.
Plot twist: you only get like a few kb patch on release day to unlock the game. It was done all along :P
