UK: Here’s The Best-Selling Games Of 2017 Including Digital Numbers

We reported earlier that the UK did particularly well in 2017 with regards to video game software and hardware sales. We now have data for the ten best-selling games of that year and they include digital numbers. However, one thing to note is that Nintendo doesn’t supply eShop numbers, though that’s unlikely to change the chart too much.

    1. If they don’t, they need to. I would have loved to see just how well Breath of the Wild did in the UK with only 10 months to sell in 2017. And the 3 months that Super Mario Odyssey had to sell in 2017. Since it & Origins released on the same day, it’s possible it could be either just behind or just ahead of Origins.

  1. Nobody is going to mention the pre-owned market went down 15% while online went up 13%? Digital sales seem to be more appealing than pre-owned physical games. Which makes sense, if you think about it, but it’s interesting how it shows in the sales numbers.

  2. Those calling other people’s opinions and/or likes “the WORST tastes” must think way too highly of their own opinions and/or likes. There is no such thing as a fact when it comes to what people like. *shrug*

Anyway, some people are gonna be so incredibly mad that NONE of Nintendo’s games made it in the top 10. If Nintendo revealing their digital sales could have put some of their games in this list, it’s time you guys start hitting up Nintendo to release their digital sales along with their physical sales before these type of lists get shared online instead of keeping them held up in some cell in the deepest, darkest depths of Nintendo’s vault til Nintendo themselves are ready to release their digital sales at their yearly meeting thingamajig.

I’m disappointed, though. I’d love to see how well Nintendo’s games would have actually did in this list if Nintendo gave the needed information up. As it stands, I’m glad to see Horizon: Zero Dawn and Assassin’s Creed Origins made it in the top 10. I’ll be playing these games myself eventually. (Oh & GTAV! Nearly forgot about the fact I got that game, too.)
