Kirby Star Allies launched on Friday in the United Kingdom and has already received the title of the fastest-selling boxed Kirby video game ever. To put this in perspective there have been 19 Kirby retail titles since 1996. The highest charting Kirby games in the United Kingdom were Kirby Triple Deluxe (2014) on Nintendo 3DS and Kirby: Planet Robot (2015) also on Nintendo 3DS. The reason is due to the Nintendo Switch’s success and also a relatively quiet week for new releases. Here’s the best-sellers this week:
- Burnout Paradise Remastered
- Kirby Star Allies
- FIFA 18
- GTA V
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Super Mario Odyssey
- PUBG
- EA Sports UFC 3
- Fallout 4
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
4 Switch games in the top 10, including some you would expect to have dropped off by now… wow.
Remember FIFA. Thats group chart
😃
I have a feeling that the Switch is selling well again in the UK after dropping off a bit after the initial few months. There have been a few good deals of £20-£30 off the rrp recently so that’s probably helped as well. Surprised to see Kirby do this well though
||Excellent, very well done, keep up the frontlines…||
I’m glad. Our little pink boi is doing so well.
