Penguin Wars For Nintendo Switch Has Gone Gold

Finally Penguin Wars for the Nintendo Switch has gone gold which means it is pretty much ready for release after marketing and distribution. The game will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on 15th August. Talking of the Nintendo Switch version, the Limited Edition Nintendo Switch version includes a digital code for the soundtrack and a custom threaded, heat-cut character patch of Riley and is exclusively available on the Dispatch Games Online Store. The standard edition will be available both in retail stores and the Dispatch Games Online Store for $29.99.

“After over 20 years, our team is very proud to bring a complete make-over of the arcade classic, Penguin Wars,” says Dispatch Games founder Brian Schorr. “With all new graphics and modes, old-school fans can play an updated version a game from their childhood, while new players get introduced to cute, unique characters and competitive online gameplay!”

Modes

Story Mode: Join Riley and his friends on their journey to Gira Gira land. Collect items and earn candy to evolve your favorite character. You can also buy “Gira Skills” that let you learn special moves for each character. You can play one on one, two on two, or even play with different rules such as using bombs and other items against your opponents. Each character has a different skill set so make sure to use and master appropriate characters to help you on your journey.

VS Mode (Local):  Pick your characters and a set of rules to play against your friends.

VS Mode (Online): Play against people in Gira Gira land or you can match up directly with friends. Use characters that you’ve evolved in the story mode and see who comes out on top.
