In an unexpected move, Bethesda has announced that DOOM Eternal will be gracing the Nintendo Switch. Clearly this is excellent news for Nintendo enthusiasts and shows just how committed Bethesda is to the platform. If you are down for some gore then check out the latest video for the ultra-violent title in the tweet below.

With Bayonetta & the Belmonts in the game, he’ll be in good company if he ends up being the third character from a mature series to be in Smash.

Funny enough, I actually Pre-Ordered the Switch version back in June, but I barely heard anyone else talking about it… So does that mean I’m one of the first people to pre-order the game for Switch even before it was confirmed?
If so… BETHESDA! ID SOFTWARE! WHERE’S MY FREE COPY AND STATUE?!

This is great news indeed. I love how Bethesda continues to expose these other major western 3rd party publishers/developers who claim that their AAA games can’t run on the Switch. The system is printing money and Bethesda knows it and will benefit big time from it. DOOM Eternal will be a great addition to ever growing library of the Nintendo Switch

I hope Ubisoft and Activision blizzard are learning from Bethesda and Square Enix…..
Also…. Shame on Capcom for the lame support so far.
Great one Bethesda…
You deserve some accolades

I had to re read this a few times to make sure I was reading this right because as soon as I saw it I knew I had to say “not” coming to Switch because it’s just so much easier for 3rd parties to ignore Switch. HUGE props to Bethesda as they are the #1 third party on our Switch and I though I’d never be able to say that even 2 years ago.

The big question is whether or not it will launch simultaneously on Switch as well as other consoles. It’s great that the game is coming but I really don’t want to have to wait longer to get it on Switch.

I was actually thinking this.
I’m pretty sure Bethesda said moving forward they were going to try for simultaneous releases.
We’ll see, but either way, they are showing real good support.
Unlike some!!

They shouldn’t bother.
Doom was atrocious on Switch. It’s just not powerful enough.

Really, I think it looks absolutely fine and I’m sure loads will agree.
Don’t forget that this is a portable device which has been hugely successful and I bet Nintendo are hard at work making a more powerful revised switch.

Bethesda is really pulling out the stops with the Switch and Panic Button is right on board. I’m gonna guess they are doing the port, or have been working on it for a while now.
Looking forward to great things!
