The file-size for Ubisoft’s upcoming space shooter and exploration title Starlink: Battle for Atlas has been revealed for the Nintendo Switch and it is 12.7GB. That’s around the same size as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which wasย 13.4 GB. Hopefully there is plenty of content within the game. We shall have to wait and see once the reviews go live.
Thanks toย Nintendo First Order Reaver for the news tip!
And still we have to download a portion of the game? Shame on you, Ubisoft.
I understand this problem about downloading a portion of the game. To me it’s not a very big deal since I’m going to buy the physical copy of the game and I have an SD card inside the Switch.
I also have a big SD card, and I can kind of understand the necessity of a download for pretty big games, but with a game size of 12GB it’s hard to accept to be honest. Nintendo should really be a bit more supportive to publishers when they need bigger cards.
12 GB it’s big and personally I don’t understand why the devs didn’t use a 32 GB card
How much is needed for download ?
The eShop says 12.7gb for the digital version, so does that mean they didn’t fit those 12.7gb on a gamecard???
Maybe the “additional download” is just patches, or hopefully extra content they added after printing the game….?

Now Ubisoft is pulling this garbage too? I’ll get over it if 12GB is on the cart and the 6GB is a patch even the digital version requires.
