Pokemon GO Developers Niantic Finally Unveil Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Niantic and WB Games have finally lifted the lid on their upcoming project which is titled Harry Potter Wizards Unite. The game was announced a while ago, but no further details were mentioned by either company. It is an augmented reality game much like Pokemon GO but this is a fresh take on their original idea as Pokemon GO was released back in 2016. Pokemon GO isn’t being abandoned and will continue to run as smoothly as ever, but the company will now be focussing on both projects and hopes to attain the same success it achieved with Pokemon GO. You can read the details direct from the official Harry Potter Wizards Unite site or you can read Eurogamer’s hands-on report.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite combines content and characters you know and love from both the original Harry Potter series and the Fantastic Beasts films in a unique Wizarding World experience. It’s up to you to ready your wand, prepare your potions, brush up your spells and help prevent The Calamity from exposing the secrets of the wizarding world.

      1. With every year releasing a new content, Pokemon Go will always have a future.

Harry Potter, on the other hand, will be tricky but yeah Niantic can do it.

It looks like far from what I thought would be just a reskin of Ingress or Pokemon Go.

It’s kinda nice to see them using the latest AR tech like ARCore and ARKit.

        We’ll see about this.

        1. Yeah I’ve never really been a Harry Potter fan, but if they pulled of Pokemon Go so successfully, I’m sure they can do it. I hope.

  1. How is this Nintendo news?
Anyhow, I’m sure that Potter fans will really get a kick out of this game.

  2. So let me guess- you pick a House (Griffyndor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin) just like a team in Pokemon GO (Team Valor, Instinct, or Mystic), and go around hunting Death Eaters, Dementors, and other Fantastic Beasts by sliding your finger on your phone’s screen to mimic casting spells with a wand, learning new, more powerful spells as you level up and defeat more creatures.

Do I have the gist of it?
