It comes as no surprise to hear that both Nintendo and Tencent are having a press conference together to detail more of their plans regarding their expansion into China for the Nintendo Switch. The event will kick off on 2nd August. Here’s what we know so far, thanks to Dr. Serkan Toto.

Chinese New Year festival in Animal Crossing New Horizons :O
Hopefully all holidays, dlc, and items are not region exclusive, cause if it’s released in China, they’re definitely gunna add a bunch more cool Chinese items and at least Chinese New Year as a holiday, so if there’s no region exclusive stuff then more regions = more cool holidays and items!
It’d be awesome to have a new big holiday in-game for January/February.
