There’s a brand new Yo-Kai Watch game in development and it will be based upon the Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Encounter with N anime which is currently in development at the moment. Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino says that the game will feature new gameplay mechanics that haven’t been featured in previous games. Hino shared the following screenshot of the new game which you can view above.

I’m honestly a bit upset that level 5 hasn’t done anything for fans of this series in the west we got yokai watch 3, which barely had physical copies, the anime english dub got discontinued like months ago, and there hasn’t been any news on the yokai watch 4 releasing despite it being confirmed a few months back that it would come to the west, its a bad time to be yokai watch fan here in the west
Compare to being a Pokémon fan with Sword & Shield release. At least Yo-Kai Watch evolve with the times mate.
Ok your actually right on that, the game looks really buggy to me and some of the animations are a joke, sun and moon still looks more appealing to me than that game, I have to give yokai watch points for listening to there fans

This IP has been on my radar since 2014 when I saw the reported sales in Japan greater than Pokémon‘s at the time (XY iirc). I wanted to know what the fuss was all about. I never go to it though because everytime I want to buy it I find out that the Japan is already playing the next gen and it puts me off to be playing a 2 year old game.
However I am interested to to trying out 4 as it is developed solely for Switch and is not a 3DS port.
