Netflix‘s Media Center has accidentally released a synopsis for their upcoming Resident Evil show. According to the synopsis, the show’s story occurs 26 years after the discovery of the T-Virus. It will take place in Clearfield, Maryland, a fictional town. The town “has long stood in the shadow of three seemingly unrelated behemoths – the Umbrella Corporation, the decommissioned Greenwood Asylum, and Washington D.C.”, all three of these “seemingly unrelated behemoths” are actually involved in the creation of the virus. A premiere date has yet to be announced at this time.

So….. people get attacked by zombies and it turns out its a big conspiracy between a corporation and the government? The exact same story of basically all RE games? Not a criticism. Just, we know how this goes by now.
I was kinda hoping its story would be adapting the games. Would’ve been cool to see Jill and Chris going through the Spencer mansion and uncovering all its secrets. Or.. something more similar to the Castlevania show. Oh well.
Seems like it’s going to be a history documentary. Looking forward to how this is carried out
The best Resident Evil story was RE0 before the Mansion incident. I remember playing the game and reading notes and seeing a past story within a story leading up to RE1,23,4 and so on. The Umbrella Research Center. The train went there and was all connected. Then after you beat it, Billy and Rebecca points over to the Mansion. She uncuffs Billy after finding out he didnt kill 33 people. He takes off as she heads towards the Mansion to meet the others.
I loved the story of RE0.
Maybe I should download RE0 on Switch but the loading times are longer than on Gamecube
I’ve already seen Mr. H on YouTube cover this. This series is gonna be very, very different to the games. Even more so than the movies were.
