For those looking for an easier experience on the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch, you’ll be pleased to know that a casual mode is available in the game. The official Japanese Xenoblade account shared the info earlier today on Twitter and stated “A “casual mode” is also available for beginners! If you turn on the setting, the battle will be easy, so even beginners can enjoy it with confidence!”.

  1. Man I think I’ll play in that mode, if only to finish it faster. I’ve already beaten it normally with 160+ hours, so why not?

    1. Yes, same here probably. Played it first back in school, but time is more limited today sadly, so it’s nice to just enjoy the exploration and story. And there is still a good chunk of new content, that can be played regularly.

  2. Ah! I may give this game a go then. When it comes to story driven games I often like to play through the game first to learn the story and if I like the game enough, I then give it more of a “Solid” attempt.

  3. That sounds great. I usually end up getting bored with JRPGs with their deep mechanics that only end up overwhelming me. I like simple RPGs where I don’t have to think about a lot of things (like Pokémon, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door)
