David Wise would love to compose another Donkey Kong Country soundtrack

Comic Book has recently had the chance to chat with legendary composer David Wise about his time spent making the incredible soundtracks to the much-loved Donkey Kong Country franchise. The site asked Mr. Wise whether he would be interested in composing music for any future games in the Donkey Kong Country series. He told the site that he would “be delighted to be involved again.” After an extended absence, you returned to the series with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Do you see yourself creating more music for the franchise in the future?

I’d obviously be delighted to be involved again if ever the opportunity were to come up in the future.

    1. It would not surprise me if we learned that Retro’s project between Tropical Freeze and Metroid Prime 4 was a third DKCR game to create a new trilogy. We still don’t know what they were up to between 2014 (Tropical Freeze release) and 2019 (development of MP4 has restarted; Retro is now at the helm), and they had to have been up to *something*. Retro’s too talented of a development studio to let sit for a long time doing nothing.
