Japan: Kirby tops the latest Nintendo Dream poll

The latest edition of Japanese Nintendo-centric magazine Nintendo Dream is now with subscribers. As always it contains a Nintendo character poll where users can vote for their favourite Nintendo characters. This month there is no change at the top as the adorable Kirby has been number one every month since they have been posted online. It should be noted that only the first three characters have their points revealed.

  1. Kirby (Kirby) – 165pt
  2. Mario (Super Mario) – 129pt
  3. Pikachu (Pokémon) – 84pt
  4. Isabelle (Animal Crossing)
  5. Luigi (Super Mario)
  6. Link (The Legend of Zelda)
  7. Yoshi (Super Mario)
  8. Raihan (Pokémon)
  9. Sans (UNDERTALE)
  10. Inkling (Splatoon)

  1. Welcome to the Salty Splatoon. How tough are ya?
How tough am I? How tough am I?! I had a to spell Splatoon this morning!
    Yeah, so?
    Without any ‘p’!

    1. What I’m personally wondering about is as to why Raihan of all other characters from the pokemon franchise (I know pikachu is on there) ended up on this list. I never got to play Pokemon SWSH myself, but was he really that popular of a character while I was living under a rock, or was he simply more popular in Japan than anywhere else? As I’m aware Japan can have quite different tastes in comparison to the U.S. and elsewhere.
