North American retailer Target has announced a special Switch double pack which consists of two games. Those games are the excellent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Party and of course there is a saving to be had. The bundle costs $99.99 and the company also throws in a $10 gift card. You can pre-order now and the double pack releases on Sunday, 4th October.
99$ for a Wii U port and a few years old game? That 10$ giftcard helps somewhat though.

I only see this being helpful for people who have never played these games, remember the wii u did poorly, Super mario party is the only decent modern mario party game

As an econom myself, I think about the profit margin for this got to be sky high. I myself can see it from Nintendo’s perspective: it sells like hotcakes. Why reduce the price? From a consumer stand point I feel like they’ve earned back what they’ve used ob MK8 a long time ago. Why no be a litte more consumer friendly and reduce the price a little? They even earn money on the Switch console sale itself. They’re really pushing it IMO. Looking forward to a Switch 4K thingy and they can claim “next gen prices” on their games as well.

Oh yeah they defintely need to lower price imo tbh, but I believe this is more tagrets promotion than nintendo as this bundle seems to be target only ,smp and mk8 deluxe have been on sale a couple of times on eshop when ever they did a promotion, so comparing this to the eshop deals this bundle seems like a lost, I really only see uninformed parents picking this up

Don’t know about the US deals, but the Norwegian deals for Mario Kart on eShop have been equalent to like 10$ or something.

Exactly. The age of a game means nothing if it’s a good game. Geez.. Everyone thinks video games should age like fruit.

$60 for each game and that’s giving you back a $10. How modest of them.

Cool bundle idea for parents at Christmas. Completely missed the mark on the price point though. Jeez.
