Microids has announced that there’s a new Asterix & Obelix title coming and it’s titled Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! It’s headed to the Nintendo Switch this winter and looks gorgeous and it also remains faithful to the comics judging from the screenshot and video which are available to view above and below. Microids says that the 2D beat em up is developed by Mr Nutz Studio. Here’s the details:
Be prepared to prove your bravery! Asterix and Obelix: Slap them All! Is set in 50 B.C. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans and only one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. Play as Asterix & Obelix and set sail to the most iconic places in the comic book series while battling Roman legionaries, pirates, brigands and even the dreaded Normans.

I really wasn’t into Asterix & Obelix at all. At least the one I played was sooooo bad. This one actually looks like it COULD be decent.
Whoops, I mean to write: “I really wasn’t into Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 at all”. The other XXL games don’t look much more appealing, either.
