  1. when this game originally came out and started gaining traction on popular YouTube channels, for the longest time almost every Reddit thread would be filled with “Just Monika”. Even on non-gaming subs and in unrelated topics – it was just being spammed constantly.
It made the whole thing a little bit obnoxious to say the least (in my opinion; other people may like that) and with the fandom surrounding it – kinda killed any interest I had as someone who otherwise enjoys VNs.

    1. Same thing happened with Undertale and other highly popular things that generate memes. I got a coworker who only just recently got Undertale because he stayed away from it during its most popular time. Now he says he regrets not playing it back then. Anyway, my point is if DDLC looks interesting to you then don’t let an annoying fan base keep you from enjoying the game

      1. Really appreciate this reply 🙂 wasn’t expecting much after what I posted lol, but everything you say makes perfect sense. I suppose I just need to take things a little less seriously sometimes

        1. Yeah man! We play games to have fun, and in my experience it’s hard to have fun when we let others drag down what we could be enjoying

  2. I need more info: is this new version a paid update to the original DDLC on PC? os is an entirely new game aside from the original?
