Chocobo GP is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2022

One of the many third-party games that was announced in today’s Nintendo Direct may surprise you. You see, Square Enix announced a new racing game called Chocobo GP, where players can “join Chocobo and friends as they set out on a new journey”. Players will be able to “enter the racing tournament and win to be granted anything their heart desires with a single wish”.

As for the game’s release date, it won’t be for a while. It was confirmed that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch next year, in 2022. That said, if you’re interested to see more of Chocobo GP, we’ve included the official Final Fantasy Twitter’s announcement tweet, which contains the trailer, down below.

  1. Nobody will ever understand the hype I felt when I saw Steiner and Vivi playable again in a new game I care about. I hope we get even more classic characters, but I can die happy with those two

  2. A sequel to the PSOne original Chocobo Racing is coming next year as a Nintendo Switch exclusive?! Chocobo GP is now on my 2022 most wanted list!!!!
