Bandai Namco have uploaded a fresh new teaser trailer for the upcoming Digimon Survive which is due to be released this year, after suffering numerous delays. Digimon Survive was originally revealed in Japanese magazine V-Jump in 2018 and is scheduled to come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox consoles, and Steam. It was originally scheduled to be released in 2020 but has suffered a few delays since, so fingers crossed that it is still on track for release this year. Check out the teaser trailer down below.
Celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Digimon Survive is a tactical RPG with a focus on storytelling and turn-based battles. Takuma Momozuka goes on a school camping trip only to find himself transported to a mysterious world full of monsters and danger. Join Takuma and Agumon as you craft your story and fight your way back home in Digimon Survive.
This was my most anticipated game until that last Q&A were they said that this game would be 70% visual Novel and 30% gameplay. To those of you who enjoy visual novels and digimon, enjoy. I personally have lost all interest.
Alright I might bite but what’s the usual gameplay for digimon.
Usually it’s a turn base RPG with 3 on 3 battles. Think Pokemon meets FF.
This one though, was pitched as a Darker Tactical RPG. More like Fire Emblem, which is a first for the series.
Im hyped for another Digimon game, i’ll be happy with a visual Novel. I’ve played alot of Ratilakia games on PlayStation, most of them are visual novels. As long as Digimon Survive is longer then 2.5 minutes like Ratilakia games.
Not a fan of visual novels, but I am a fan of Digimon. I’ll give it a shot, I hope the story is well made.
