Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles remaster in Sonic Origins developed by Headcannon

Headcannon has been confirmed for the Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles remakes for the upcoming Sonic Origins collection. Headcannon is best known for the brilliant widescreen mobile remasters for Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and were also in charge of co-developing the excellent, Sonic Mania. In a series of tweets, Headcannon, revealed that SEGA developed the Sonic Origins menus and its flashy presentation. Sonic Origins is due out on multiple platforms on 23rd June.

  1. If sega were smart they should give the series to the taxman and his team…but you know how “smart” sega is.

  2. This should have been priced at $20 and no extra tiers or DLC. The way they structured it is a headache, its overpriced and there are better options to play these games on current platforms (admittedly omitting the optimized wide-screen format). Nobody informed of their options will buy this garbage.

      1. At least it’s not egregious as Activision-Blizzard and their CoDs where 20% of the game is full price, “DLC” and microtransactions is 80% of the game, alpha build, riddled with bugs and them taking forever to fix bugs.

    1. I’m fine with the $40 (probably should have been $35 though), but I’m definitely not a fan of the DLC part. It’s not even substantial DLC; that stuff should have just been in the base package

  3. I want one of the games remastered that had shadow the hedgehog such as sonic heroes or sonic adventure 2.
