Nintendo has issued a statement on the labor complaint

By now, you’re probably aware of the recent news that an unnamed worker has filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board against Nintendo of America and Aston Carter, a firm that Nintendo uses for hiring contractors. Well, a representative at Nintendo has issued a statement that responds to the complaint news.

Nintendo claims that the person is “a contractor who was previously terminated for the disclosure of confidential information and for no other reason”. The company also says that they’re “not aware of any attempts to unionize or related activity and intends to cooperate with the investigation conducted by the NLRB”. Their full statement is down below.

  1. Normally I’m cynical of companies in situations like this, but I’ve usually hear that working at nintendo is fine

  2. It’s entirely possible the “disclosure of confidential information” was just him telling his wife about his day and it was perfectly fine until they needed a lawyer friendly official reason to silence dissent.

In which case, they wouldn’t exactly be pulling aside the company representatives to say “oh by the way, what we put on the record isn’t the real reason decisions were made”.

    1. LOL, “dissent”, like he was in a Vietnam prisoner camp or something? You know what you do when you “dissent” with your employer? You quit and go work elsewhere, you’re not chained to the floor.

This person was a leaker and got fired for it, but because they’re probably a woman or a minority with a colossal victim mindset they think anything that happens to them just HAS to be discrimination and not a consequence of their actions
