Nintendo NX boot screen and logo shown off first time outside of Nintendo

Before the Nintendo Switch was officially named and unveiled the hybrid system was known as the Nintendo NX internally. The name and unveiling of the Nintendo NX console happened on 20th October, 2016 where it was showcased in a snazzy video and named the Nintendo Switch. Fast forward to today and a new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe prototype has found its way online and it has unveiled the Nintendo NX startup and boot screen. The early logo and boot up sequence was created internally during the development of the console and this is the first time it has been shown outside of Nintendo.

  1. Surprised they didn’t incorporate this somehow when you boot up The Switch for another logo or animation. Kinda like the Gamecube has the additional boot up sounds if you hold “Z” on one controller or if you hold “Z” on all controllers.

  2. The insiders that told us all these code names like “Dolphin” “Project Cafe” “NX” they haven’t been able to sneak inside and tell us the code name of whatever is coming after the Switch yet?
