UK: Nintendo Switch became best-selling console in November sales jumped 175%

November was pretty much the month of discounts in the United Kingdom as Black Friday sales started very early online this year. After a number of months of being in third place, the Nintendo Switch family of systems became the No.1 games console in the biggest gaming market in Europe during November with sales jumping 175% due to discounts along with the release of the Pokemon-themed Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) The top selling video game in November 2022 was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II which was followed by the latest God of War game for PlayStation consoles, God of War Ragnarok. Nintendo doesn’t provide digital sales figures for its games.

“The next biggest set of releases are Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. If the two games were combined, alongside its double pack, the games would have been No.3 in the charts. As a Nintendo-published game, digital data is unavailable, so it’s possible (even likely) the game would have been at No.2 if download figures were available. It is the second biggest launch for a Pokémon game in UK history, behind Pokémon Sun and Moon on 3DS.”

“After several months in third place, Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console due to a 175% jump in sales month-on-month. November saw the release of a special version of the Switch OLED, featuring artwork from the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet game. This version of the Switch accounted for 8% of all Switch consoles sold. There were also numerous Black Friday deals around the Switch, too.”

  1. Outta curiosity what’s the difference between Pokemon Violet and Scarlet besides each having specific Pokemon exclusively? I have Violet, but is there any reason to purchase Scarlet or i can Just trade with someone for the Pokemon that are exclusive to Scarlet? If i had both is it even possible to link trade with myself or transfer Pokemon between the 2 games without having another Switch.

      1. You were told wrong, scarlet has past paradox and violet has future, but both are set in the present. Paradox’s regardless of which version it is are encountered in the same area. Other then that, just the professors and the legendary you ride around are different.

    1. There is almost no difference between the two aside from the exclusives and no reason to own both at all. The differences in the story are cosmetic. You also can’t trade with yourself currently because pokemon home compatibility won’t be a thing until probably February. By far the easiest and best way to get all the Pokémon in one game is to find a trading partner for the exclusives and maybe also the other starters and trade evolutions if you don’t already have those things. The hardest thing to get will be the other legendary; there are not many people willing to trade it.
