Square Enix reiterates the Dragon Quest Monsters series isn’t going anywhere

The Nintendo Switch exclusive, Dragon Quest Treasures, is now available and it received decent review scores from a number of websites. In an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Dragon Quest Treasures producer Taichi Inuzuka, reassured fans that while Dragon Quest Treasures took some inspiration from Dragon Quest Monsters, the long-running Monsters series isn’t going anywhere. Mr. Inuzuka went on to say that he considers Dragon Quest Treasures more akin to a new game like Dragon Quest Builders and Dragon Quest Heroes.

So this game isn’t an evolution of Dragon Quest Monsters, but a spin-off?

“It’s not really a spin-off either. It might be closer to DQ Heroes or DQ Builders as a completely new game. But, the release of this game doesn’t mean the end of the DQ Monsters series, so please don’t worry.”

  1. At this point i Just wish they would add more additional content for Dragon Quest Builders 2, or have another free update like the update that added weather affects so it rains and snows. I don’t know if or when will see Dragon Quest Builders 3, but i hope they keep the “Magic Pencil” so you can build other players blueprints in your world and i hope they implement a job system.

  2. I’ve beat Dragon Quest XI Echos of An Exclusive Age, the campaign is very lengthy and i viewed and read about 90% of the dialogue. My favorite part of the campaign is Eriks younger sister Mia, how she turns everything into gold including herself. I loved the casino, i literally spent hours playing all the mini games. Trust me, Echos of an Exclusive Age doesn’t suck, i played the spin-off titles Dragon Quest Builders and Dragon Quest Monsters before playing Dragon Quest XI, sure it was completely different gameplay and took awhile getting into the story and the boss battles are insanely difficult. I might not know alot about the Dragon Quest series, but i do know Dragon Quest XI Echos of An Exclusive Age certainly doesn’t suck.

I’ve beat Dragon Quest XI Echos of An Exclusive Age and used the guide on Neoseeker website, i know enough about it to know it certainly doesn’t suck.
