Matthew Mercer is the voice of Ganondorf in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

One of the big reveals that had been included in the brand new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was the return of Ganondorf, which is something that people had been speculating about ever since the game had been officially announced 4 years ago.

Ganondorf’s return in the trailer also included a bit of dialogue from him. Well, we now know who is the voice of Ganondorf. Voice actor Matthew Mercer has confirmed on his Twitter account that, now that Nintendo has said that he can talk about it, he will be voicing Ganondorf in the game. You can see his tweet down below.

  1. I always hoped one day I’d get to hear Clancy Brown as the voice of Ganondorf. It’ll probably never happen, but Mercer has potential to be an excellent Ganon. I just hope he makes his voice deep & threatening.

  2. The first trailer where Ganondorf spoke sounded like Patrick Seitz though i did say he sounded like him, never said it was likely him. listening to the final trailer, Ganondorf sounded like Hit from Dragon Ball Super then upon listening to his voice after multiple times i was convinced it was indeed Matthew Mercer. I’m not upset, i would have been happy with either, Hit and Jiren do fit Ganondorf.
