Sonic Origins Plus is giving Amy Rose a super form for the first time in 30 years

The official logo for Sonic Origins Plus this June.

This hasn’t just been a good year for Sonic the Hedgehog fans, but fans of Sonic character Amy Rose are having an absolutely fantastic year. Amy will be playable in Sonic Superstars and Sonic Origins Plus, and she’ll become playable in Sonic Frontiers via an update later this year.

Sonic Origins Plus isn’t just making Amy Rose playable, however. The game’s street date recently broke, and it has been discovered that, for the first time in 30 years, Amy Rose will be able to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds and become Super Amy. Previously, she was the only hedgehog character in the Sonic lore that was unable to do so.

  1. Dang it man; it took Sega 30 years, but they finally put some respect on our girl’s name.

Now we just need Sega to actually use these forms more: I love super Sonic and all, but I think his friends deserve some time and that super spotlight as well

Knowing Sega they will pull a Frieza and ignore it. Would love to see the form in future games.

  2. I’ve wanted a super form for all the playable speed characters on sonic heroes. Glad Amy has one now.

  3. It’s the same umbrella of “super forms” as Mighty and Ray, not it I’m complaining.

The only characters for the time being who deserve super forms are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Blaze, and Silver.
