Nintendo has informed Wii U owners that both the onion services for Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon have now been restored. Both games were taken offline to address what Nintendo called a vulnerability related to online play, which has thankfully now been fixed. The Kyoto-based company asks fans to accept their sincere apologies for the extended waiting period for the maintenance. Here’s the message posted on the official site:

“In March 2023, Nintendo paused network services for the Wii U games Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 to address a vulnerability related to online play. The issue has now been fixed, and so we will resume online play for these games based on the schedule below. Please accept our sincere apologies for the extended waiting period.”

  • 3 August 2023 Resume service
    • * To resume online play, downloading a new update will be necessary for each title per the release timing noted above.

“If further issues occur which make it difficult to continue supporting online play, we may have to discontinue the online play service for the Wii U games Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 at short notice. Should this occur, please note that offline play would continue to function normally.Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

  1. Now that you mention the wii U, his failure wasn’t because of its features, at the end people understood that it was the wii’s successor.

The problem behind the wii u’s underperformance was Nintendo commander Quadraxis, yes, he was the one who hurt the brand with his incompetence, he always said that he was going to offer the heads of “xbots” and “sonyans” as a tribute to his master…buuut he is so incompetent that instead of “killing” the competence he was murdering potential buyers, “he” used to attack anything who was wearing a green or blue t-shirt believing they were “enemies” of the empire.

Quadraxis wasn’t Nintendo’s own Rambo, he is more like Zapp Brannigan.

Look how things changed for the better when he left, we should be thankful with Nintenmau5 the hero we didn’t know we needed, thanks Nintenmau5!!!

    1. ||Green and blue are the colors of the enemies’ flag, i shoot when i see the enemy approaching, that’s my policy…||

      1. if you are quadraxis let me tell you that green and blue are also common colors, you killed potential buyers, you M0r0n!

      1. I’m he is just roasting a guy who used to post here claiming to be a high ranking cybernetic being from the “Nintendo empire”.

          1. Yes, at first his role-playing was funny but as time went on it turned into a cringe fest, Commander Quadraxis was more like this blog official mascot than anything.
