Tribute Games has finally announced the release date for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge downloadable content which is titled Dimension Shellshock. Fans can purchase the DLC on the Nintendo eShop and other online stores on Thursday, 31st August. The new trailer for Dimension Shellshock reveals that Karai will join Miyamoto Usagi, as a new playable character, and players will be tasked with going through the new Survival Mode, which looks neat.
“A multiversal melee awaits! Catch a glimpse of the Foot Clan’s fiercest fighter as she charges enemies with lightning-fast moves alongside her four favorite Turtles. Karai joins the razor-sharp Miyamoto Usagi, star of the Usagi Yojimbo comic book series. With both at your side there’s no stopping the Turtles as they kick, punch and party their way across the various new worlds in Dimension Shellshock’s Survival Mode.”

What!? Why is Karai helping the Turtles against her father or The Foot??? That makes no sense at all.
No idea but she has allied with the Turtles, for various reasons, a few times before in previous media, its nothing new.
Sure it does, depending on which lower lore talking about. She is Splinter’s daughter.
Shredder’s daughter, you meant. And not in every continuity.
Karai never appeared in the 80’s cartoon, tho.
I’m only talking about Mirage Comic Lore and there, she only joined the turtles just to defeat the Elite. Nothing else.
In some iterations of TMNT Karai is Splinter’s Daughter, in other iterations she is conflicted when following Shreddar’s commands when it means hurting the innocent.
Her characteristics is meant to be the exact opposite of Leonardo as second command of the foot clan, Kara and Leo are pretty much two sides of the same coin, where Leo has his family to help guide him through tough times, Kara on the other hand is what Leo would be like if he were under Shreddar’s control.
Kara is one of the deepest and most overlooked characters in TMNT, but she always had that possible good side to her character similar to how Leo sometimes has a bad side to him.
The first time I’ve seen Karai, she was in KONAMI’S Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighters for the Super NES.
Im glad that the dlc has a reasonable price ($7.99) didn’t expect that Karai would be available as a playable character.
