Leaker says Capcom is preparing Monster Hunter 6 for Nintendo Switch 2

More rumours are circulating today regarding Nintendo’s long-awaited successor to the Nintendo Switch. Following Far Cry 7, Nintendo Universe editor Necrolipe now says that Capcom is preparing the next game, dubbed Monster Hunter 6, for the new Nintendo system, alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It’s not difficult to believe the latest rumour, as Monster Hunter games have always performed well financially for developer Capcom on Nintendo systems. We will know for sure when the platform is officially unveiled by Nintendo.

    1. On the contrary I’ll be totally fine if the next MH is exclusive to Nintendo since I only ever buy Nintendo console and Gaming PC. Couldn’t care less about Sony/Xbox.

    1. People are expecting a AAA title with AAA graphics. RE-Engine might be easier to scale down to Switch than the old MT Framework engine, but I really hope they don’t make compromises just to make it work on the Switch. It’s way more likely, that Capcom already has knowledge of a Switch-successor and maybe even a Dev-Kit, so they don’t need to compromise that hard with old hardware-limitations

  1. 2nd word 1st sentence “rumors” it’s probably safe to assume Monster Hunter 6 will be on all platforms. How are we complaining, when the article clearly says it’s a rumor or speculation. Stating facts such as “it will be on all platforms” isn’t necessary true, that’s an assumption based off other games in the Monster Hunter series.

    1. I really hope they do not cater to the Switch again. Next gen or not, almost any game made to work on Switch has been a dissapointment. Please give us World 2 and not Rise 2.

      1. “World 2” 💀 can’t believe people still call it that even tho it says MH6 shows you started with World. and it’s the switch 2 not the normal switch

  2. «On the contrary I’ll be totally fine if the next MH is exclusive to Nintendo since I only ever buy Nintendo console and Gaming PC. Couldn’t care less about Sony/Xbox»

«Sonyers and xbozzzers shouldnt have the next mh, we are better option»

Yeah i dont care about nintendo a single bit, and still i would congratulate them if they got next gen MH. I could even show happinest about that fact towards them. But of course nintendo fans wont feel the same.

I have switch, new 2ds, xbox and ps consoles, a medium gaming pc but what i dont have is the ability to understand why people want MH6 as Nintendo exclusive again. Unless SW2 surpasses the old SW by light years, we are gonna have a huge downgrade if next game rumours are true. But since when nintendo owners cared about the lack of QoL on switch? Games like oddysey, The witcher and both TLOZ felt so smooth, but seems like monhun struggle to feel satisfying on switch.

But well, we are all theorising. Dont reply back, im not coming back to this page anyway. I would probably forget where i wrote this becuase is the first time i see this page.

When is this stupid console war going to end? because you comment seems like fuel for it. Dont delete your hate comments, cowards.

    1. Ok I would say you’re a coward- your name is anonymous. And the console war is over xbox admitted they lost, and Nintendo honesty doesn’t care. Don’t hate on what people want or don’t want. Cuz if mh6 does come to ps5 – people do want that, maybe not you cuz hey it’s not your cup of tea.

        1. Lol I’m fine with that name =) . Don’t be butt hurt.. lol serious comment coward cuz you have nothing to say. Wow you are a golden boy.. lol

    2. Then don’t come and comment here, you coward. You really wrote a whole paragraph of nonsense because somebody said they’ll be fine with the next Monster Hunter being a Nintendo exclusive? Rise played fine on Switch BTW. Plays even better on PC of course.

PlayStation and Xbox fans really are annoying.

    1. You might be right. Either way, isn’t Monster Hunter: World the fifth game and Monster Hunter: Rise the sixth?

      1. Rise is made by the B-Team, aka the “portable” team. Rise is the 5th main portable game, while World is the 5th A-Team/mainline title.

But Capcom have said they don’t want to number their MH titles anymore, and rather focus on the game’s main selling point when making titles now. (“Rise”was because of the vertical movement).

But calling it MH6 just means World 2 or the next installment from the A-Team, and that is what I understand (not confirmed as I know) to be MH Paradise.

  3. This has got to be the most insanely self-centered take I’ve ever heard. There’s this new thing all the cool kids are doing; it’s called empathy. You should try it. Might make you less of a screaming ass.
