Nintendo has confirmed that the wonderful Super Mario Bros. Wonder is now the best-selling Super Mario game ever in Europe, which is quite an achievement. Although Nintendo declined to reveal exact sales numbers, you can be sure that it sold plenty of units during a crowded week that consisted of the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2 and Sonic Superstars. I can’t believe what i am going to say…well deserved.
I don’t hope this will condition Nintendo to stay away/down prioritise them from a Mario “Odyssey 2”. To me, the 2D games have absolutely no appeal for me. Not saying the games are bad, just really not my style.
I enjoy both types of Mario games but I highly doubt they are going to have less focus on 3D Mario. With the massive success that Odyssey brought and the teaser that was “Bowser’s Fury” I’d have to imagine something big is coming on a future console, especially due to the current lack of new 3D Mario games in recent years.
It’s “Bros.”, not “Bros”!!!
